The Mattoon Area Community Foundation has made scholarship announcements for the Mike James Memorial Scholarship, Michael Alan Fuller II Memorial Scholarship and the Arland D. Williams Jr. Scholarship.
Mike James Memorial Scholarship
The Mike James Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Mattoon High School graduating senior who has lettered in football and graduated with a grade average of a “B” or higher. This year’s Mike James Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Cole Pierce (pictured below).
Michael Alan Fuller II Memorial Scholarship
The Michael Alan Fuller II Memorial Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors of Mattoon High School who will be attending a community or junior college, a state college or a university as a full time student. This year’s recipients are listed below.

Arland D. Williams Jr. Scholarship Fund
The Arland D. Williams Jr. Scholarship is awarded to a graduate of Mattoon High School who is in their junior or senior year of college and is studying or intends to study finance, banking, accounting, economics or computer science. Applicants for this scholarship are sought out by the selection committee and only those who fulfill the spirit and attributes of Arland D Williams may be eligible. This year’s Arland D. Williams Jr. Scholarship recipient is Russell Voudrie (pictured below).
