A total of $10,000 was awarded this year to MHS graduates majoring in visual or performing arts from the Lebovitz Lively Arts Scholarship Fund. Each of the following students received a $2,000 scholarship:
Andie Antonik graduated from Mattoon High School this past Spring and will attend the University of Illinois majoring in media and cinema studies; Shelby Barker, graduated from Mattoon High School this year and will attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale majoring in interior design; Amanda Juszczak graduated from Mattoon High School this past spring and will attend Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago majoring in photography; Shelby Phipps graduated from Mattoon High School in 2012 and is attending Eastern Illinois University majoring in graphic design; Kari Wattles graduated from Mattoon High School in 2013 and is attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville majoring in dance/theater and minoring in music.
