(MATTOON, Illinois – June 17, 2024) Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2024 recipients of the George Wilson Bauer Scholarship. Scholarships totaling $2,700 have been awarded to graduates of Shelby County who will be studying medicine or nursing.
The recipients are:
Chloe Dasenbrock, a 2021 graduate of Stewardson-Strasburg High School studying pre-med at Maryville University of St. Louis.
Issac Chambers, a 2024 graduate of Shelbyville High School pursuing Health Sciences at Wheaton College.
Jordynn Mayhall, a 2024 graduate of Shelbyville High School pursuing an Occupational Therapy degree at Murray State University.
The George Wilson Bauer Scholarship is made possible by the generous scholarship endowment supporting current seniors and graduates of high schools in Shelby County, Illinois who are studying medicine or nursing.
