2025 George Wilson Bauer Scholarship Awarded to 3 Recipients

(Shelbyville, Illinois – June 23, 2025) Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2025 recipients of the George Wilson Bauer Scholarship. Scholarships totaling $2,850 have been awarded to graduates of Shelby County who will be studying medicine or nursing.

Emma Banning is a 2025 graduate of Pana High School.  Emma plans to attend Lake Land College to study nursing.

Emma Houska is a 2022 graduate of Shelbyville High School.  Emma is a senior at EIU pursuing a degree in Communications Disorders and Sciences.

Jack McClain is a 2025 graduate of Shelbyville High School. Jack plans to attend Taylor University and pursue a Physician Assistant degree.

The George Wilson Bauer Scholarship is made possible by the generous scholarship endowment supporting current seniors and graduates of high schools in Shelby County, Illinois. Who are studying medicine or nursing.
