Each year, Dr. Henry and Esther Poterucha give back to a number of causes and organizations that are important to them. One of the ways they fulfill their charitable interest is through a donor advised fund managed by the Effingham County Community Foundation.
This year the Poterucha’s are recommending grants be awarded to Friends of St. Anthony Memorial Hospital ($1,000), Family Life Center ($1,200), and Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum Association ($10,000). “We have lived and worked in this community our entire life and it is important for us to share our community and family values in this way,” says Esther Poterucha.
The Poterucha Family Foundation Fund was established in 2007 and allows the family to remain actively involved in suggesting annual distributions from the fund.
