The Board of Directors of the Mattoon Area Community Foundation recently appointed Cara C. Honselman to a three year term on the board.
Ms Honselman is an Associate Attorney at Hefner, Eberspacher, Tapelle, Armstrong, Grove, Jones & Britton LLC. She is a resident of Charleston, a graduate of Casey-Westfield High School, Millikin University in undergraduate studies and Southern Illinois University School of Law.
Ms Honselman double majored in Accounting and International Business Management at Millikin and played volleyball all four years she attended the university. She studied in Germany and the Dominican Republic. During college, Ms Honselman worked as a Legislative Aid in Springfield to State Senator Dale Righter and in Operations Accounting at ADM. She enjoys playing the piano and teaches Sunday school and sings in the choir at Wesley United Methodist Church.
“I hope to gain better insight into the needs of my new community and to work toward improving the area. I also think it is important to educate members of the community and surrounding areas on the existence and benefits of a community foundation,” noted Ms Honselman.
