Students from Dieterich High School recently completed the community service hours required for graduation by assisting the Effingham County Community Foundation relocate its office. Students Lindsay Francis, Cody Hinterscher, and Dalton Hinterscher moved the foundation office from the second floor to the ground floor office at 300 East Washington previously occupied by ER Westjohn. FFA Advisor, Matt Belusko coordinated the volunteers and supervised the move.
“We really appreciate these young people volunteering their time for this project. We had two flights of stairs to contend with, and they got the job done in record time”, said Joedy Hightower, President/CEO of the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, the umbrella organization that supports member community foundations and the Effingham County Community Foundation.
Hightower invites everyone to stop by the new foundation office at any time. For more information, contact Joedy Hightower at 217-342-4988.
