The Effingham County Fair has been one of the premier fairs in Illinois since 1944 and the Effingham County Fair Association has plans to ensure that it maintains this status for generations to come. To achieve this goal, the Fair Association board has established an endowment with Effingham County Community Foundation to raise money to be invested in the future needs of the county fair.
The Effingham County Fair Association Endowment is a permanent source of funding for the county fair and acts as a savings account which will allow the board to prepare for future needs and repairs while minimizing the necessity of annual fundraising.
Donors who contribute $100 or more to the endowment during 2017 will be named Charter Members of the Effingham County Fair Association Endowment. The Effingham County Fair Association Endowment Charter Membership is intended to permanently recognize those who love the Effingham County Fair and want to ensure its continued success for future generations. Charter members will be recognized on the Effingham County Fair and Effingham County Community Foundation websites. Members will also be recognized on a plaque in the Effingham County Fair office.
