Mattoon, IL – Shannon Lowry has been named the 2014 Arland D Williams, Jr Scholarship recipient which is named after the Mattoon hero who died in a plan crash saving the lives of other in January 1982. Lowry is a Senior at the University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign and is majoring in Information Systems/Information Technology.
