Alan Davis of Effingham was the winner of the Sweetheart Raffle held during the Sunshine Rotary Sweetheart Brunch on Sunday, February 16 at the Effingham Country Club.
The raffle raised $1,155 for the Rotary 100 Club Fund established to provide assistance to families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. Since the formation of the Rotary 100 Club fund in 2008, one family has received assistance due to the line-of-duty death of a police officer from Effingham County.
The Sunrise Rotary Club would like to thank the following individuals and businesses for their donations to the raffle: Brown’s Drug Stores, Burkland’s Florist and Greenhouses, Joe’s Pizza and Pasta, Joe Holomy, City of Effingham Tourism, Tuscan Hills Winery.
