(Casey, Illinois – January 21, 2025) Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is accepting applications for the Randy Lee, MD Health Profession Scholarship and the newly established Casey Industries Scholarship. The scholarship application is available online at southeasternillinois.org/students and the deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
The Randy Lee, MD Health Profession Scholarship supports students graduating from the Casey-Westfield school district who are pursuing a healthcare profession. Applicants must have a goal of completing a certification program, a two-year associate degree, a four-year college degree, or a professional degree in a healthcare field.
“This scholarship has been created to encourage young people from the Casey-Westfield area to pursue a career in medicine and service to others,” said Foundation CEO Alex Pleasant. “Dr. Lee is a longtime medical doctor whose selfless devotion to his work and community is a great example of the way that medical professionals are keystones of their communities.”
The Casey Industries Scholarship is for high school seniors graduating from Casey-Westfield High School. The application is available for a part-time or full-time student attending a college or university.
Applicants must complete the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation Common Scholarship application, a general application that determines the applicant’s eligibility for one or more of the Community Foundation’s scholarships. Applicants will need a high school or college transcript, ACT or SAT scores (if applicable), and college financial aid information.
