SICF announces 2024 Smysor Scholarship recipients

(Windsor, Illinois – June 19, 2024) Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded 67 students with the John L, Harry L, and Catherine Smysor Scholarship.

The John L., Harry L., and Catherine H. Smysor Scholarship is open to current seniors and graduates of Windsor High School and dependents of Windsor High School alumni.

2024 Windsor High School graduate recipients:  

Delayne Austin will pursue a law enforcement degree at Lake Land College.

Talon Bridges will be studying business at Lake Land College.

Aubree Brown is planning to study nursing at Lake Land College.

Clayton Carey will begin pursuing pre-med at Eastern Illinois University.

Lillian Cole will begin pursuing a marketing degree at Texas A& M Corpus Christi.

Ainslie Eident will begin Lake Land College this fall.

Billy Evetts III is planning to study business at Eastern Illinois University.

Hannah Gossard plans to pursue an RN degree at Eastern Illinois University.

Brody Hendrickson is planning to attend Eastern Illinois University to study exercise science.

Silas Hortenstine will begin pursuing an optometry degree at Eastern Illinois University.

Sarah Rodriguez will study graphic design at Eastern Illinois University.

Claire Sims plans to begin agriculture science at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
