Members of the Effingham County Veterans memorial recently accepted a $1,000 contribution from the Dr. Henry and Esther Poterucha Family Fund. Joedy Hightower, representing Effingham County Community Foundation, presented the check on behalf of the Poterucha Family in front of the pillar carrying the engraved name of Henry Poterucha who served in the US Air Corp from 1944 to 1945 and in the US Army from 1952 to 1954.
