Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation recently appointed Mr. Chuck Deters (pictured above) of Teutopolis to its governing board of directors.
Chuck Deters is the CEO of Dieterich Bank, N.A. He has been with the bank for nine years and also serves on its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Dieterich Bank, Chuck held several positions over the course of 21 years at Consolidated Communications ranging from accounting to marketing and sales.
In addition to his new role with Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, Chuck also serves as Chairman for The Effingham Regional Growth Alliance, which is a private/public partnership focused on collaborating with business, government, educators, and the Chamber of Commerce across Effingham County to attract business, industry, and skilled workers to the Effingham region while expanding the market of products and services produced in the county. Deters is a member of the Teutopolis Community for Progress (TCFP), an organization dedicated to promoting and creating economic opportunities for the Teutopolis community and is also involved in the annual Taste of T-Town fundraiser benefitting Catholic Heart Work Camp, a mission trip that provides youth groups with service opportunities to restore homes for the elderly and disabled. Deters formerly served on the Effingham County Community Foundation affiliate advisory board.
Deters and wife, Anita, reside in Teutopolis, where they have raised four children.
“It is an honor to serve on a board whose overall purpose is to enhance the quality of life in the communities in which we live to build a better future for our children,” remarks Deters.
